Climate change will lead to more rainfall and an increase in the frequency of extreme showers. It is expected that in 2050, extreme rain showers will occur five times more often than today.
These extreme showers could cause local flooding. This will have an increasing impact on outdoor spaces and on industrial sites and poses a risk for to keeping roads safely accessible.
