Programme B: Renewable energy in the port

We use a lot of energy in our daily lives without really thinking about it. The port of Rotterdam also generates and uses a lot of energy.

But what is energy anyway? What sources of energy are there and which of them are renewable? What is renewable energy and what does it have to do with the port of Rotterdam? The Port Rangers programme teaches pupils more about (renewable) energy and solutions for energy transition. Programme B is suitable from frade 7 onwards.

Visiting Portlantis 

  • Arrival and welcome (15 min.)
  • Visit to part of the exhibition and panorama deck (50 min.)
  • Workshop on renewable energy (50 min.)
  • Break with own food and drinks (20 min.)

Upon returning to school after the field trip, there is a choice of assignments.
